Enough of the studies have been done. Different aspects of the theory of the job are overdone by continuous reading and theoretical preparations. The dates of the interview, is closing in and there is enough confusion as to what would be the last minute preparation.
One of the most important factors of landing the job is about the final interview. But enough preparation has to be done for facing the interview. To go through the ordeal of being asked various questions, of which one does not have any knowledge, is the most difficult parts of the whole process of getting the job.
The members of the panel are not the newcomers in the field. So assuming that some things could be easily hidden from them as they don’t know the candidate is a misnomer not to be entertained. The very presence in the interview room is going to give away all the things that are going in the mind of the interviewee.
The recruiters are smart enough to outwit the candidate. This would simply mean that the first and most important cue to win the job is to be one’s own self. Any form of misleading information or assessment can boomerang. So, it is required that the candidates remain who they are on the interview table and not try to be a hypocrite.
Besides being one’s own self, there are certain other things that can be inculcated by careful study of the negative traits and correcting them. The panic button should be removed entirely from the psychology of a person. Even if a lot depends on the job, the candidates should be calm and composed. Thinking about the possible questions and the manipulative answers thereof can be responsible for such a panic.
With a positive mind frame, the body language also becomes positive. This shows when they are sitting in front of the interviewers. A sign of nervousness is alright but not so with the air of arrogance. No interviewer would want to recruit a person who has a sense of overconfidence. Every effort should be carefully weighed as to the expressions of interest.
The job is obviously going to be given to someone who is more interested when the talents are at par. Some body languages should be taken care of. A properly attired candidate with clean and ironed suit or jacket gives a hidden respect to the interview. This also shows the seriousness of the person towards the particular interview. The shaking of legs and hand and fidgeting is not a good sign for a positive response.
Making an eye contact that says that one is interested is a positive thing to develop which again shouldn’t be overdone so as to become a stare. Subtlety is the key to getting the job in the competition among many other equally qualified candidates. There are many people out there who are waiting for the job, but one can nudge them out with the right amount of planning and preparations as the talent is going to take care of itself.
